Hello.
I think that Koit is Koit, but female is not EHA.
KOIT and EHA in 2009 were almost the same color, female is now very bright.
If you look at her beak- the nostrils are different and her eyebrows higher begin.

Hello aita!

As long as we don`t have birds with rings to identify them exactly nobody can say 100 % she is or is not .... :puzzled:

But maybe an expert has a better answer than mine?

Welcome Aita!
Most probably you are right about Eha.
That could explain also later egg laying this year. Last year chick was quite well developed if Joosep ringed, means hatched and was laid early.

Wow -what news ..... so do we have to think about a new female name .... ???? :puzzled:

Wasn`t here in the forum 2010 .... and didn`t watch this cam in 2011 ... so had a walk through the pictures in archives and the female birds look different, indeed ....

7th May

The female is sitting on her egg - very quiet and a bit sleepy :D
She is not such a noisy bird like Tuuli :whistling:

Image

We have to think over her name soon - it is not nice to write "the female" when she already settled down here and has an egg ...

We should be able to come up with an actual new name and the folks with the magic power can change the thread name.

(Of course in the other thread we hardly did better than Mr. Blond, and were only saved when Remo returned to his Tuuli and Mr Blond disappeared)

Food delivery for "her" at 13:18 - a big frog! She ripped him at the nest.

The jay posed for his portrait in just the right place!
Thank you, Bea, for capturing him. Beautiful markings.

This Jay is still around harassing Eha. How about a nice and juicy jay for dinner?

So it's not Eha in this nest now. Did Koit found another partner after they arrived? I just think that the bird who was with him in the beginning is darker than Mrs Unknown, but that can be the light in the pictures of course ( it is Koit...? )
20:35 - Mrs Unknown is sleeping. No wonder she is tired, after the attack of the Jays earlier  Maybe the Jays has a nest nearby?
Thank you for great videos and pictures everybody

What a surprise, but like Bea, I have not been in the forum 2010 and last year they decided to breed off the cam, so I have seen Eha only on pictures.
Thanks Bea, for letting me know, I had a busy day and not much time to look in often and came home only now a few minutes back (and could not resist opening the forum :peek: )

Will be gone now also :offtobed: Good night!
