Hi Fleur, is a squirrel, there were several, for a while they've been up and down the trees there in front of the nest.

The topic from 2014 is already opened on Latvian forum but there is no translation yet.

The official website of the project says that the camera will start working "beginning of April"

You can look here: http://www.pomarina.lv/#WebCam
or if you understand German, the German partner Deutsche Wildtierstiftung will be presenting the camera too: http://www.schreiadler.org

Once the camera is online, we will open a new topic here: viewforum.php?f=71

In fact not all LSE are at the Black Sea. We have some observations in Latvia and I think some birds have reached Estonia too.
Quite right, Vainamoinen: the first observation of LSEs in Estonia was reported from Tartumaa on April 3rd http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/19685 :innocent:

Urmas sent me a photo of the nest camera made by Joosep. I have inserted it into the introduction on the first page, where you can find all information and updates and links for the nest. Thanks to Urmas and Joosep - also for the thoughtfulness of weeding and putting an extra layer of greenery to avoid mould and fungus spreading!

That photo sure looks like a Siamese cat mix to me. :rotf:

Urmas wrote that a solar controller was malfunctioning. The camera did not switch on after going off once.
We hope this was the only problem there and the technical side is working now without further problems. Now only the birds have to arrive!
