Shanta, I have heard on both cameras LSE. So also on Latvia's nest. I had to decide what I do.
So I was late for the start here at the nest.
Is a pity that I can only observe a nest when I capture video :faint:

It's so nice to see that they visit the nest.

:hi: Liz
and of course all!
Have heard LSE calls near the nest belongs to about 4:00, nothing to see. Am fallen asleep briefly again and Cam unfortunately also ... no sound of woke me up. Then I was on the road, could watch no more.
Think, Eha and Koit nearby but they have unfortunately, opted for another nesting place.
Let's see what happens!

Thank you for the information, Fleur!
It's a pity that we again can't watch how Eha and Koit raise a chick. Obviously they prefer another nest.
I wish them all the best and a successful season. :2thumbsup:

They guess which of the nests will be with a cam and deliberately choose another one

Visited nest site today and restarted camera, it is working now (more-less).
Seems Eha and Koit do not breed this year, because second nest was almost similar as observed one - no eggs laid, but refreshed in spring. Did not see the eagles on territory also.
In camera system the antenna in woods is somehow having unstable the radio link, so the image will freeze frequently. But sound of old forest is quite well.

Thank you for information, Urmas. Give my greetings to Eha and Koit next time when you visit their nests. I love this family very much.

The first Lesser Spotted Eagle on the migration map has started the long journey:

http://birdmap.5dvision.ee/EN/2015/Autumn/one/
Female Lesser Spotted Eagle (LSE) named Haage started the autumn migration in morning 8th of September. She did not have chicks to rear this season. During first day she covered at least 250 km - direct distance between breeding site in Estonia and overnight place in southern Latvia. Successfully bred LSEs still train the juveniles for independent life.
Yet another non-breeding bird this year ...

The German LSE have also started their migration: http://www.satellite-telemetry.de/english/
