Such a cute and beautiful little eaglet it's nice to see that the nest is successful
What is the prey? A cat? A baby lamb?Ferenz wrote:NORWAY

both are possible. if i remember right these eagles took a cat once. there are also sheep near the nest.
i should say it's a lamb rather than a cat. the 'nose' and the ear in the back are too long for a cat i think.

It was a lamb, it's sheep nearby. They have also brought a hare once. The eaglet's name is Solo, that means "alone", because s/he is an "only child"
Feeding by mom, this afternoon. A headless bird.

Mom, I don't need more hay, I am hungry!

https://zooom.no/havornreiret/195310783 ... ing-av-farWhen the eagerness delivered a bird for breakfast, Solo got something to rub. How could he manage to eat it himself? After much effort, Baron Blue came back to show Solo how to rib a bird. Eventually the father flew and left the food ready for the kid. Watch video!

Owlie, my nick name is Solo (it was one adorable cub in one serial about her/his life in wild natur)Owlie wrote:Solo will have his prey alone and chases away the parent ...
It's funny for me reading this
11th July
Solo is moving around on the nest rims like he would hope to slip down and he flew onto a branch back: https://zooom.no/havornreiret/195316679 ... orste-gang . He is studying the surroundings very carefully - it looks he is very near fledging today!
EDIT: In Norway they call Solo's branching for his first flight

First flight over
At 15 o'clock on Tuesday, the sea pier took Solo's wings and flew up on a branch across the nest. This is the first flight in which he got a good luck with his wings. Watch video here! For information, last year's youth, Storm, left two days after the first flight.

Good luck, beautiful Solo I wish you lots of fish and always enough wind under you wings
Watch the eaglet fledging -
At 80 days old Solo the eaglet decided it was time to leave the nest.
