From FB, Google translation:
For the first time we can show how a brand new white-tailed eagle-young looks when it just out of its egg. The footage shows the other young people in the very first minutes of its life. The cub looks apparently naked and bare, but actually it has already hatching down, which just wet and therefore are difficult to see. When dry after a few hours, the down becomes white.

I think I haven't seen any eels this season and only one that could have been a swordfish. Most prey seem to be mammals (hares/rabbits) or coots. And there is always plenty of food on the nest, that makes me happy :D

17:38 Beautiful sunshine on the nest and the pantry is full with food. Mommy covers the chicks.

Who shall eat all those coots lying in the nest  ??
It's enough now

They rarely serve fish (compared to Anna and Uku for example). They seem to be specialized coot-hunters...and rabbits...

19:24 Dad flew to the nest and started to feed the older eaglet.
Image

Then mom started to feed younger. The older one was more interested that younger sibling was feeding by mom, than morsels offered by dad.

19:34 Dad flew away.

Let them have this over supply! - Last year when the remaining chicks hatched a month "too late" (because a marten took the two first eggs), they had some problems with food supply later in the season.

I love to see two healthy chicks with lots of food around on the nest this season.
Not to forget my admiration to the Mother, whose left leg is wounded since two years and looks painful to walk on - she doesn't let it affect raising her chicks!

Hey Owlie :hi:

Of course - I am also really happy to see all this food  , especially when I think of last year! I am just impressed about their hunting skills. I counted 7 coots in the nest

And you are absolutely right: mom is totally adorable! Both are great parents!

Feeding going on, Mum blocking the view as usual this season. I see two or three fish that could bee eels or swordfish! The chicks seem to be a little too big to fit under the Mum's wings, but they both surely look good and healthy!
21:02
Dad arrives to eat some eel ... he deserves it! :D (I have had a luck to taste eel in Sweden - it tastes gorgeous!)
21:11
He finished the eel, left only the tail and flew off.
There is still one eel uneaten on the nest ...

I was watching feedings today. The older eaglet pecked the younger one few times, but the aggression was much lesser than last year.
An aggression happens always in eagle nests, but it seems the intensity depends on food availability.
Dad feeds eaglets.

Dad brought an eel and mom feeds.

There was something disturbing nearby and then it started to rain, so dad stayed in the nest for night.

Apparently the fish season has began, past few days there has been more fish than other prey. I have seen some that look like swordfish.

13:46 nest time
Mum started to feed the younger eaglet from what could be also eel, the older eaglet is resting in another direction. - Something outside the nest interrupted the feeding, mum concentrates to look and listen to the right from cam view ... And she gathers her offspring to rest in the nest bowl.

15:40
I see three possible eels and two like swordfish on the nest - untouched so far  And two well being eaglets

There were two flounders in the morning. You can see one quite well on the last picture posted above by Mamicja. I think the other one is partly covered or eaten up.
