Thankyou, Mamicja, for the first pictures of the newborn! It looks promising prey wise - lots to eat already in store.

Females slightly raised the body and was choppy and a moment ago I saw the two separated shells and even a little dark, damp young people in the middle. So it's happening now. How lucky can you be! Great!

Mum started calling, Dad arrived, she stood up from the chicks and continued to call and took off.
Mum's walking looks painful to me, her left wounded leg looks really bad and she limps it badly ...
The chick #1 bonked her/his sibling a few times ... Dad seemed to think whether to feed or not and finally got on the chicks without feeding.
14:31 nest time
I think dad is feeding the chicks, he blocks the view, I believe he has taken the fish that lied nearest to feed of

Thank you, for sharing this pictures, Owlie!
Nice little guys.

When I have a look at the cam view I see a chick exploring outside the nest bowl and out of the parent's wings, I guess it is the chick #1
14:17 nest time
Both chicks have wandered towards the prey I didn't watch all the time, maybe there was a feeding before this .. at least both seem to be in good condition (=fat )

Poor Mom - it looks as if she is not able to use the claws of her left foot at all..
That must make hunting hard for her...for me the injury looks worse than last year, or?
But the chicks look great!! Cute ones!

She hurt the leg two years ago. But I agree, it looks painful for her to walk on that foot. But she is brave - the offspring doesn't suffer of her handicap. I even hope that the parents have agreed that she is for the most on the nest and he takes care of hunting.Sabrina71 wrote:Poor Mom - it looks as if she is not able to use the claws of her left foot at all..

I opened the cam and see both parents on the nest as well eating themselves as feeding the chicks - what I can see, Mum mostly blocks the view
There is always PLENTY of food nowadays, busy Dad!
