edziks111, patience.. it's so pity that you have not got help yet! Wait, there must be someone who can give you advices!

Question: How could you earlier watch the pig-cam, and take captures too? Did you use your own PC then, or someone else's? Have you canged something in your PC settings? I just wonder. I have no advices..

Have you reset the computer - I sometimes get that message when WMP is having an off day - but it works when I try later!!
Is it just the pigcam you can't watch? - or anything!!

I hope you have followed Jouk's suggestions - going back to source and getting the link again often works!

i have got an answer from a Finnish page! There someone said: WMP > Työkalut > Asetukset > Tiedostotyypit > Valitse kaikki > OK.
I found it! Of course, it is this you should do: Open - click 'Tools' (in WMP), click 'Options', click File types, push 'Select all', and then press-click OK. This is the advice a got for you..

edzik111, there is some mark missing in your file-settings..??

This is how my WMP-Tools - Options - FileTypes - settings.etc.. look:

(the text in my PC are in finnish but you have the same there on your PC, propably in russian or english..)

Or you can try the following way:

Create a new icon on your desktop, i.e.:

1) click right mouse button on your desktop, a window will appear.
ScreenShot028.jpg
2) choose ‘New’ (Pl = Nowy)’, then (? ‘Keyboard Shortcut’ ? – Pl ‘Skrot’ I’m not sure of this Eng name, but it is the second option from the top, blue marked)
3) Enter the pigs cam address: mms://tv.eenet.ee/siga and click the middle small window at the bottom (in Pl ‘Dalej’ = Eng. ‘Go’?)
ScreenShot029.jpg
4) Write the name of the shortcut, for ex. ‘wintercam beta’ or other that you wish, and click ‘Finished’.
ScreenShot030.jpg
5) New keyboard shortcut is now on your desktop. Click it twice and WMP picture of the pigs cam should open.

If I used improper English words, please, Jo or Patsycat, correct me!

Lucy's advice from above!

1) click right mouse button on your desktop, a window will appear.

2) choose ‘New’, then ‘Shortcut’ – it is the second option from the top, blue marked

3) Enter the pigs cam address: mms://tv.eenet.ee/siga and click the middle small window at the bottom (NEXT)

4) Write the name of the shortcut, for example ‘wintercam beta’ or other that you wish, and click ‘Finished’.

5) New keyboard shortcut is now on your desktop. Click it twice and WMP picture of the pigs cam should open.

If I used improper English words, please, Jo or Patsycat, correct me!

More information about WMP, from EE.Net.

We transmit 2 video streams, ~1300kbps and ~600kbps and the first one is
preferred.
If your internet connection is less than 1Mbps (or laptop with wireless)
then you can force Windows Media Player to use second stream.

Yes, edziks. That is the best connection speed, if your internet connection can handle it! I am so glad your problem is solved!

At this moment, my WMP is showing a speed of 1298. It is working well.

Our pleasure, Edziks. I'm glad that you did it!
You can also create new shortcut icons for other webcams, for example Eagle cam, or other websites that you visit often.

Happy New Year!
There is the problem in internet channels we use for to transport signal from forest to server. It is common (public) channel we use and at evening most of people upload something and simply the tube is a bit small for these cases together with our signal...
No way there to make some special channel for our pig-cam, due geographical situation. OK, it is possible, but too expensive.

But, please, check if there is not shared your internet connection! If you watch two streams in same time, it diminishes speed twice etc...

No stream is 100% perfect 100% of the time; it is a fact of life for those of us who are addicted to watching wildlife cameras.

Be strong, edziks111, we all understand your frustration.
