On my Netbook I have VLC 2.0.4 installed and reading about your problems I thought before trying to install 2.0.5 here I first look into this. Nova was opening, Siga, Saunja, Käsmu had only sound!!
Then I looked up all the settings, they were the same in both, but in Settings "Input & codecs" there is - in the bottom of the settings - one setting: "Live555 Stream Transport o HTTP (Standard) o RTP over RTSP (TCP)".
In 2.0.2 on my Laptop I have marked the first one and everything works fine. I have tried now and marked the RTP one on my Netbook (don't forget to restart after each change and save of settings!) and - voila, Siga, Saunja and Käsmu, which had no picture got a picture as well! Putting it back to HTTP picture was gone again!!!

I will dare now and upgrade the 2.0.4 to 5 on my Netbook! Will report what findings I have!

Okay, 2.0.5 is on the Netbook, with the RTP-setting it is working without problem! With the HTML-setting no picture is shown!
I have just made a short film of Linda and Sulev, saw already that picture and tone are separate and the film is a few seconds longer than it shows, must be because of the difference between sound and picture! I upload it to Tube now.

Edit: it definitely is a setting problem in VLC!

ok, now i have installed the new version 2.0.5 and changed the setting from HTML to the later (what-ever-that-was), and now both Saunja and Nõva are playing normally.

 thank you Felis!

i wish that the new version has a cure for synchronizing sound and picture but that remains to be seen...

edit: this update wasn't as clever as the earlier. i had to change the destination folder of my pictures back to where i like to have them. it wasn't automatically changed like in the previous update. the default format of pictures was also png and i had to change it back to jpg.

It is one of the settings, for sure, and I have found out where to synchronise it for viewing the video, but that works only for that once and not for good. :bash:
Nobody here who knows a bit more about such things? :hi:

Welcome, Manu, but still I have not solved the main problem. It seems known as an issue, but the Videolan forum is so "technical" in what they write, I'm sorry, I don't understand much of it!
I try to update my version here, but it won't, it crashed a couple of times, but the file ... well ... Image

Edit: Funny - here the cams work also in the HTTP-mode! :puzzled:

You can get another problem wat happening to me last thuesday. Two weeks ago I bought a laptop with Windows 8 64 bit. VLC did not work on it and I try so many versies but no way. First I thought it is because I have a very new Windows however VLC said it had to be working on Windows 8 64 bit. On my old computer it worked oke until thuesday I get only connection with Saunja. So I did not understand that at all :puzzled: , but then I rememberd me that a couple of days before I saw a jump in the adres. So I went to Saunja and looked at the adres and noticed it was different from the others. So I changed all the adresses and it worked right away also on my new computer with the latest VLC version. This is the adres to watch Saunja rtsp://193.40.133.138:80/live/saunja but not by me anymore I had to delete :80 in all the adresses to see the cams. I find it very weird.

I had the same with the Käsmu cam. But for me the old address works for all the other cams. I have downloaded a VLC 64-bit (though I have no Windows 8), the one that comes automatically from VLC is a 32-bit version. but it is good to know to try this out as well.

 I just downloaded and installed the 2.0.5 win64 and I do not have any problems. Installed it because I do not need it for recordings.

 Exactly what I have done, fireblade, when the automatic one "updating" from the old version did not work!

Wil - I don't think the address (change) has anything to do with 64bit or not. I have the Käsmus-address without the "80" since many months already.

Yes, but for me it is only the Käsmu camera that has dropped the 80 in the address. All others still work on the one with the "80".

This is really strange. On my last video I made from Sulev and Linda a big part of them get lost :puzzled: .
I pushed the record-button when I saw Sulev in the distance, far away... And on my record Sulev is sitting already in the nest.

And YT say video is 2.44 min. And when you start the video, it is only 1.47min.....

As you mention it now, Manu, I have also started to film before Sulev came, now watching it, already Linda is on the nest too! :bash:

And I was so happy to see an eagle in the distance and thought it works  .
Today I made a test on boar-cam. (I wrote down when I started the record.) And they're 8 seconds who get lost  .
