I'm curious, Bubo, how do you take pictures from JWplayer? -And the others?

Well, I'm using this program:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26&start=300I learn how to work with it, and now it's very easy to take snapshots. But i don't know how long it will work for me, I think this program isn't free and now i'm using free trial.

And my PC is old, too. It's already 10 years!

i bought and used the Debut-video capture program which is available free for a trial period of two or three weeks so i think Bubo can't use the free version for a long time either...
the positive sides of the program were that i could take both snapshots and record video with the same program without any extra editing. i could also make it name the pictures and videos in the way i wanted (with a timestamp and the name of the source
Nova) and save them in a default file of my wish.
but i'm not quite happy with it because it had some rather serious drawbacks. it's so "heavy" to use: my PC runs steaming hot when it is on and what is
much worse: i can't watch more than one camera at the same time! if i try they begin to freeze and gradually stop and crash one by one.
also the window which i wanted to record or take pictures from has to be on the desktop as a whole. it could not be pushed aside like one can even minimize the VLC-window while it is recording.
if i made the window smaller the pictures will be smaller in size accordingly. increasing the window size didn't improve picture quality (i guess that the number of pixels remains the same). i had to turn all other sounds off, or they were recorded, too (another reason why i could not in practise watch other cams at the same time as nova was on.)
i think that the Debut can record only one video at a time, while i can have several VLCs open at the same time and record with all of them plus i can play an earlier recording with another VLC! the videos recorded with Debut could be played with VLC for taking snapshots but not for re-recording (which i often do as a primitive editing-trick).
when hitting the "start recording"- or "take a snapshot"-button i had to have the Debut-window active (it could be pushed aside). i made a lot of mistakes when i forgot that...
on the whole i had to be so careful and concentrated when i was working with Debut that i almost invariable had a headache after a busy eagle-day at Nova!
VLC is so much more simple and versatile to use... too baD if they now have a problem with the snapshot-function. it reminDs me of my D-Days...
