Server space - how to be economical!

I have to tell a sad tale - we are a bit short of server space just now. You will have noticed that we could not post pictures for a time yesterday. That was because we had overloaded our alloted space. EE.net made more space available to us, but said "It may not be so easy to find more space next time"

We have grown so fast, posted so much, gained so many new members (welcome one and all) that they were a bit surprised by our growth.

One immediate remedy we can apply is to post only one attachment per post.

Better yet is to use a photo-hosting site - I have a photobucket account (free) Bociany uses Flickr, but there are many more, depending on which country you are in.

As a Forum, we depend to a huge extent on our pictures. With so many webcams available to us, the ability to post images is an important part of coming here.

There will be a solution, somehow. For now, if you can use fewer attachments and link to another photo site it will help this forum tremendously. The problem won't go away - this forum will grow and grow. It's only March - the nests are barely active yet. We will all do what we can. When there is more news, I will tell you.

Happy posting,everyone.

Thanks for your help.

I will add the address for "the bucket" http://photobucket.com/
It is very easy to use, you will get the image address directly so you just add it into your post and the picture will show.
If anyone needs help using it - PM me
