Buddy sound fine for me. Let's wait what others say. Nappu has kept me busy, but I have some photos waiting to be added here. I don't know who they have been. There were even two at same time! All the day there has been some squirrel, and always without pause tits!
Nutkin? In England, red squirrels may be called after Beatrix Potter's well-loved Squirrel Nutkin.
Are there grey squirrels too? Here in England they have become invasively predominant and the reds survive in only a few areas.

Mew, it looks as though Olga's squirrels are red in summer and grey in winter.
Yes, nutkin is a good suggestion for a name.
I like Charly too. Cheeky Charley
oh, is it Charley or Charly?
Charley looks right.

Charley is nice -- Nutkin is nice
and he seems to have mastered the top down attack on the nuts.
(We seem to have mainly grey squirrels here but I believe they are native, we also have Chicory Squirrels but they do not live in town. -- down the page are a couple pictures

I didn't realise there were so many squirell types..?
re; name; here (france) Charlie is female and Charly is male. In england,I think one says Charley.
Why not Cheeky Charley or better still..
CC and as we are fairly sure to see another boy squirell he can be named
Nutkin ?
Is
CC and Nutkin o.k. ?
Maybe we can have
Bud/dy for male or female...lots of squirells to name during the winter-time. I hope.
Can the tits just be called tits,please..
More votes,please..
About the little one seen digging his winter store ~~ I think he ate it first.

Today in the early afternoon I watched through the lens from 14:20 to 14:50. I noticed the Wood pecker there (what could be his/her name
). But his/her lunch was stopped bacause Mr Charly (or Cheeky Charley CC..
) was coming. I just suppuse that it is our little boy..also I am not sure for 101%
Anyway I didn't see that some other squirrel had comein that time.. Cheeky Charley went away at whiles for some seconds, but returned, three times..
Following about 20 photos are all of the same squirrel!

Isn't it usually Charlie? (as in Chaplin)

Charley left at 14:45. A Blue tit came at once, and she too succeede to take a whole nut on her little beak - I saw it, but didn't get photo of that second.

After I had filled the nut basket I left. When I returned about 19:00 I saw Silk ear! She has not been there for some days. The basket was empty!
But of course it is possible that it is Silk ear herself who had eaten the nuts that there were!
She moved fast this time. Got only two 'acceptable' photos:
-the familiar scar is seen there to the right side of her stomach
I filled the basket:

I think Olga you are going to have to ask subscriptions for the nuts..
As soon as you fill the basket...it is emptied.
But there are some very happy (and greedy) squirells around your home.

You are welcome, leonia :wave yes, they are beautiful and touching small mammals. They are so 'familiar' to all here, that it is possible that people almost 'do not see them'! I did not know how sweet and funny they are in reality, not before I happened to put the feeder behind the window of my work room..for one year ago.
Today there was a new looking male squirrel at 12:30. Six photos follow..
His body looks a bit longer than that of our rather well known 'little boy', Charley..

at 12:50 there was a smaller male squirrel.. he was hurry to escape, or he had just eaten enough.. I think it is a young one, could be also Charley!! Baby face, big eyes, short profile..well, I have been wrong! There are seen the light, still very short, new fur growing on ear top!
