Winter!
Last nigth we have got more than 10 cm snow, and it is snowing all the time.
Squirrel steps seen on the fence!
I have some photos from yesterday waiting. How fast can everything change!

A Squirrel on the first snowy day:
How I hate this awful cold and wet white stuff! And I like this nice restaurant, opened every day with free table, delicious nuts and seeds and the tasty apple for dessert! by leonia!

Olga,I have looked at all your days' photos and greatly enjoyed every one.
Your camera is doing a very good job to my mind, conveying the cold misty days that came before the snow. And what snow !! 10cms all in one go. It looks so beautiful but if it continues like that you will be snowed in by Christmas. Then how will 'Joulupukki' get to you ?..and the squirrels ? If I remember one couple made a nest in the woodpile ? Poor dears and the dogs too.!! But maybe the dogs enjoy the snow, they and the squirrels have nice thick fur to protect them ?
(poor you, only your coat and hat ?.. keep warm Olga.!! )

Thank you, macdoum and leaonia, for your kind words!
Today the snow is still there, it has snowed more in the night. The first squirrel, at 9:54. It took time before it climbed down. I heard the steps going back and forth, but squirrel looked down from the top of the perch tree, stepped again.. but then:

Some more photos from today afternoon. The snow is so white white, and it makes a misty like reflections on the window glass. Anyway the squirrel is the same one in all photos that follow.

I am so sorry I can't recognize this squirrel. It could be a male... but, he looks different to Oscar and different to Charley.. But his being and movements show that he was not there for the first time, I suppose

The lightning is difficult and I have thought not to put an extra lamp to light the feeder... but maybe I should try some more lightning some day..Maybe it would be useful to put the lamp outside, not inside through the window.. hm..

Alice, I made a test if the toes can be seen even better on a bigger photo.
This squirrel is actually brown! Others are more or less gray...

It could be!! She has some trait that I think I have seen that face before! I think she was surprised to see me there, again! Maybe she too was thinking that she has seen me before!leonia wrote: Hello Olga, could it be Smiley? On the second one it looks as if it was talking to you!
Anyway her eyes and face are so lively and expressive, there are for sure some squirrel thoughts in that pretty head!

Remember last year Jo (I think) said he had a lovely colour like mink. The squirrel in todays photos looks like a mink. Very beautiful colouring. :peek:
He does look so pleased to see you in No.8.

Hello, squirrel frieds
I have a new PC! It feels so strange still, there are several new things that I have to learn before I am able to use this machine. The first work to be done: upload my old camera's program...
see you later!
