Winter may have arrived a bit earlier this year.

Thank you, Jo UK! Yes,yesterday it was really looking like winter here. Now the first snow is melting, but more snow is ti come.

Squirrel in the night

They are adorable day and night.

I agree to you, alice! And many thanks and greetings to Olga for the pictures and the always well filled feeder. The squirrels may wonder, why this stock never ends . . .

Yesterday I learned from a film on squirrels that they are not able to see the colour red, they only can see green and blue, but they have a very fine nose.

The film is in German and parted into five videos, includes wonderful scenes and a sad one with a hawk, but is nevertheless worth seeing (despite the noisy advertisement at the beginning):

The videos are a nice stock for long winter days, even when you may not understand what the speaker tells you. But you shouldn't turn the sound off.

Today was so dark, at 16:00 it was almost like in the night. One squirrel came. And there was no nuts!..

The squirrel looked several time in the second floor, but no, there was nothing..
It jumped on the roof and begun to watch in my room, I was sitting there at the table..There was no curtain, only a black cartoon to cover the reflexions from my messy table..

Because the squirrel seemed not to be scared of me, I went and opened the window to put nuts in the feeder - it escaped then..

But after ten minutes it returned with an other squirrel.. :

These were all photos I took today.. My camera is getting old, it makes some times very bad photos,all colors are biased badly, and sometimes I just cannot do anything ele but shut it and open again. Some times it helps! Good camera, I got it for seven years ago! Ot'snot so long time till Chrismus. I have written a letter to
