You have such lovely flowers, Bleggi, such a nice garden. I liked your black tiger, too!

Bleggi it is interesting how similar my flowers are to yours. I guess our flowers were imported from Europe.

I took pictures of Tulips today -- not so many varieties as you have. I have Sweet Wood-ruff but I have not yet taken any pictures. I think the flowers are just barely there.

Alice: Most of our flower bulbs are from Netherland. This land is very great in flowers - I have been there once to see it and I was overwhelmed. Our garden is not very large but every year are disappearing some bulbs by mouses and I have to plant new ones. But some of the year before are hidden somewhere and came as lonely ones here and there. So the hole ground shows tulips on different places. Our four cats do their best to destroy my new plant place all the time. But only they are allowed to do so  8-)

Beautiful photos! Once more I wish I had a garden ...

I have been to the zoo this week and besides loooots of animal photos I also made photos of the spring there. But since it is not my own garden (or my balcony which substitutes for a garden), I don't know some of them, starting with this one. If it were white, I'd say anemone, it's not Hepatica nobilis, as the leaves are different

a small sort of tulips, the yellow ones unfortunately did not work out as I wanted

There are two ways to look - one can switch between near and far away, but only we can see pictures in second interval.

Hello Felis Silvestris! Is this beautiful tablecloth done by yourself? It is certainly handmade.

Yes, it is handmade, but not by me. I am stitching, but I do cross stitch. I think it is made by my grandmother, I inherited the table cloth from my father last year. All the years I was so sure that either my grandmother (or maybe one of her sisters) made it, so I never thought of actually asking him. But it is very dear to me and also holds a lot of childhood memories!

New pictures of spring in our garden:
the peony is open now
Image

this are the last tulips which opened the head
Image

and the early cherries are only a few ones, but we are happy to have them (for the star-bird) . They need some weeks to turn red; the later ones in Germany got frozen some days ago like the wine-leaves. 90 % is spoiled

Bleggi, your peonia is beautiful! Still, I'm so sad that our house is gone, my father had two peonias, and I really loved them. Colour was the same as yours!

I think we slowly have to start a new thread "Summer in Germany" - today I finally saw the first swallows here.

Ah, and cherries ... I look forward getting them!
