Spring began on 21. March and the flowers in the North of Bavaria (called Unterfranken) were blowing up very fast:
Forsythia

Magnolia

Our Forsythia has bloomed and faded, but my neighbour's Magnolia looks very much like yours.

I have something that looks a bit like your orange ? bush, but mine has pinker blossoms (and I cannot remember the name just now )


My silly cat is too afraid of my neighbours to go out in the daylight (some of them are scary). He only goes out after all most everyone else is asleep. So, the only sun he gets is through the windows.

Hallo Alice! I knew only anything about the flower like "Japanese", but not correctly. Now I found the name (Chaenomeles japonica, Japanische Zierquitte) and put it on the right place.

I am living in the city and don't have a garden. On Sunday I had friends visiting and we went for a walk. Those flowers are naturally planted to look like that.

Today I have gone to pick some tulips. A little problem while taking the pictures was the heavy wind and that the sun shined from the wrong side, but I think, you can imagine what I will show - it seems like a miracle...

It is similar to mine -- which I refer to as Flowering Quince. The Latin names are so handy.

:peek: Everyone is posting such beautiful photos of the flowers & nature in their areas. Thank you so much. Makes me wish I had a good camera & a beautiful garden or lovely park nearby.

I have made a few photos from my window, just took me some time to get them on the PC, so by now most of the blooming is over and everything is more or less green.

Nearly three weeks too early the lilac is opening the blossoms:

Bleggi, your flower photos are so beautiful! I hope you do not mind, but I downloaded the photo of lilacs to put on my computer screen desktop. It is gorgeous. (If you do mind, I will remove it.)

I am living near to the baltic sea. The cold nothern germany Today I was out to visit a wte nest

german name is "Kleiner Fuchs"


the nest without zooming. The trees are "Pappeln". Still not many leaves


The female? left the egg/eggs for a short time. The male, I think, is sitting in the "Pappel" above the nest

You may take every picture of mine and use it wherever you like to do.
In some days I will show some of my tulips. I put them last autumn near the house of my daughter what has been the house of my own years ago.

Thank you for your permission, Bleggi. I realy enjoy turning on my computer & seeing your lilacs on my screen! Your tulips & wallflowers are very nice. I am not familiar with wallflowers. I also liked the photos with the honeybee & of the tree leaves beginning to grow.

Today I was out trimming the grapes out of mine (both grapes and lilacs actually belong to my neighbour), anyhow the lilacs are not going to bloom for another week.

Ours (well, our neighbor's) are at peak bloom right now. I cut a bouquet of them for the house a couple of days ago, & it started to droop this evening. Irises should show up soon here, then daylilies.

I am really sleepy from getting up early this morning to watch cams, so I am signing off now. My eyes are drooping worse than the wilted lilacs. Goodnight, Alice. Enjoy the cams!
