Olga :hi: very nice to see the Grey- headed Woodpecker...we have it here, but haven't seen it for some time. Good to see that life goes on at Squirrel Hill after New Years Eve. All the banging from the fireworks can put everyone in shock :help:

So cute, Olga, it reminds me of this:

This squirrel wanted to be the star of the photo :rotf:

Yes, you are right, she/he is so innocent and beautiful.
What a pity I didn't see any squirrels today, but: There were some more guests today.

The fat balls and feeders haven been covered by snow! It means that I need to go and clean them earliest possible in the morning.

The half fallen spruce.. I am afraid of it, but we can't do anything to it for the moment. It will fall down on its own, sooner or later. Next Wednesday it has been predicted a new storm.. uh.. we will see then.

It is like Christmas now! A view from side window:

The line there on the picture is our telephone line. It is for squirrels. I have seen them walking along it towards the house so many times...

Absolutely beautiful, Olga! The snow and the lights! I love it! :loveshower:

I hope the half fallen spruce can be cut before it creates more damage! I guess the people doing such things are very busy right now! I remember after bad storms people over here are warned to go into the woods before they are cleared out. Here it is raining :banghead:

We drove to the stores. I think we always meet the same crow there. This time he was standing by side of the road like waiting a safety moment to cross the street. So, we stopped for 15 seconds. He definitely understood my expression :D

It is newer than the familiar one behind my work room window. It was almost rotten by years. I bought the new one about two years ago. I thought that it would be easier to keep clean the squirrel platform as well as the feeder itself. But I liked more the old feeder, and renovated it. It's good be cause squirrels nor birds can't go hiding behind it.. 8-) It is a bit troublesome to keep this old feeder clean, but I am used to it..

I changed the old feeder back behind my room's window, and moved the new one to that place. It can be seen from the kitchen window. The pine trunk under it as table for this feeder works well. The new one need to be filled about one time in week, but older one has to be cleaned and filled every day. It's a pity that this newer is quite far to take photos with my equipments.

Thanks, Manu!

Tomorrow morning we will have some kind of stormy weather again, strong wind, water and snow fall
I just hope that squirrels and birds still have safe hiding places enough here on Squirrel Hill!
