Thanks for the pictures again, fireblade1.
Sorry of the off topic, I haven´t find a bird photographing discussion here yet. I would be interesting to hear some opinions about cameras. Maybe you have some? Did you say earlier you use Canon EOS? What model, if I may ask?
I´ve been seeing a few hawks lately. This morning on my way to work I saw a hawk chasing pigeons in the city. So exciting! (It was light coloured under and had a stripy tail. I wish I could recognize them better, I´m guessing only what species it was.)
And I wish I´d had a good camera with me.
My Canon Ixus isn´t good enough for long distance photographing. Some day I would like to get a better camera, but I don´t know what would be a good choice.
I usually check bird photos from Finnish web site Tarsiger (
http://www.tarsiger.com/home/index.php?sp=&lang=eng). I looked what kind of cameras they use, for example Canon EOS ID, 7D, 50D and I noticed they can cost thousands of euros. A bit too much for me maybe at this point.
So any good tips what kind of camera would be good but would cost less than 1000 euros. Anyone?
Thank you. :)
