 "bird of fortune" (ok?). Yes I like them also. There are not so many cranes here. And I like more to see/hear them in the air. Btw. also wtes.
Today they were a bit closer and it was not because of me that they start calling. It was a foreign crane who was chased away some time later

And here are all heads up

 No rain today and fresh, not hot, air. Saw no toads today. One young wte had some food on the ground. Cranes again
Young one streching his wing (ready for takeoff, I think)
Image

All digiscoping pictures are with selftimer (2 or 10 sec.) so I am also lucky to have the heads up. This time I was lucky because of the marsh harrier (Young or female, I do not know)

It's female marsh harrier. Young birds of this season can't fly around yet.

Could it be a Buchfink - Common Chaffinch?

Anyway, the bird enjoyed the sun!
Great photos again!

 I am very close to the baltic sea. Ca. 10km south of kiel (Pohnsdorfer Stauung). Since a few days, I think, the canada geese are ready with molting(?) and most of the young are also ready. And there are also many grey geese ready since some more days. And we have some "Nilgänse". I know one breeding pair

 I must admit, I am a little bit envious that you can see WTEs! I would have to go to a "Falknerei" (I have checked, there is one not too far away) and the next known breeding pair is a good 150 km away. But forget about finding it without disturbing everyone around including them!
