We have rebuilt last year the front of the house and now the sparrows have discovered that they can nest in the new shutters. Now a pair of sparrows nests in the window of our bedroom and I don't open this window :rotf: . And the make a lot of noise and my husband isn't amused :whistling:
Nice to hear! They are sweet birds! I know a lady here (she is our trimmer, for Nanu and Nappu!) who has helped sparrows to nest around her house, in her garden, every where! I love to see how good those sparrows look! There are 30-40 sparrows at best..

Thanks Manu! I have watched today a Tree sparrow feeding three chicks! I also got a little video of one of the chicks - (it is not yet in youtube)

I saw Baby face today! :loveshower:

..and a Woodpecker parent with one of the chicks! This was the first time I saw a chick so close this summer. :loveshower:

The parent appeared first and soon afterwards the chick followed her..

The Tree sparrow chick.

Her/his siblings, three chicks and a parent were sitting and making sparrow singing on the little branch for one second before I pushed the camera on:

Hello!

Squirrel pup, a Grayish one at 16:30:

The second pup, at 17:00, a Reddish one:

:loveshower: Great tit pups I mean chicks visited as a group today. Their parents did not feed them anymore. But they seemingly can eat on their own!
I am sorry that camera is so noisy, but I preferred to save some of the chirping of the baby Great tits.

Manu, the same here. In winter it seemed that there are less Great tits than in the previous year. They are very cute! Blue tits have also been nesting, but perhaps they feed their chicks with some other food for the moment (flies etc??) but not with nuts - only adult Bluet tits visit daily, but not as many as in the spring.
'
Tomorrow I'll add some screen shots of the of the WP chick and squirrels, and of course of the Great tit chicks, they look just fun, so 'helpless' - Mom! Mom!..te-te-te-I am starving, gimmi gimmi gimmi.. but they are not. And the parent just takes a nut for herself and flies away, her/his baby cries after food, but no.. they have to learn to eat on their own

The squirrel pups from yesterday. I just suppose that they are two individuals, the first one is more reddish and the second one more grayish - the grayish one has also darkish 'spot' over the nose.

Hello, Tuula! Thank you  Wellcome to the forum! :gathering:

-----

Today it has been a great day here, so beautiful and a lot of happenings in the the garden. The first visitor was our two years old Baby face, one of my favorites:

..the next visitor was 'Spot nosed' pup at 8:50

..of course there is not a real 'spot' on his nose, but there is some little area where the fur is darker than the fur on elsewhere on his little face..
