Two photos from yesterday.
There was walking on the hayfield a lady and a man. The woman carried two buckets full of apples, and she threw them on the field. Then the woman asked from me what I am doing there. I was a bit surprised be cause I was doing anything, just standing there with Nappu in front of the old hay store or what is that building, a barn?.I said that I am just walking here with my dog and I was going to take some photos of the lake and the clouds. All right, said the woman and went away... We have lived here for 20 years but people are quite strange with each other.
I think she left the apples for storks - well perhaps they do not eat apples They migrate over here (I saw one big crane aura in the sky very high, yesterday evening) and sometimes they land on the fields. I didn't dare to ask. Anyway, some other animals eat them anyway, White tailed deers or moose.
There was painted the year 1933 on the wall under the roof sill of the barn.
Our house is seen there, the little red house:
Estonia is rather close to us:
edit:
Well, if many Finns may behave 'carefully' towards each others some times, Finland is a good country. Most Finns are fine and polite, fun and friendly towards anyone!
I got an idea to put here one of most beautiful Finnish song (there was a flashmob video on The Conversation corner), composed by Jean Sibelius:

I love those "singing flashmobs" - they are such positive, friendly and peaceful (and soundful !!!) examples for a gathering of people.
The nowadays negative exampel of peoples´ gatherings are public facebook parties
One happened not far away from my home a few days ago .... and the result was a battlefield ....

The Finlandia Flashmob happened just before the last President elections here in Finland, that is the reason why there is the number 2 at the end of the video and the name Haavisto, one of the candidates
But I had something else in my mind! I made a Discovery!
I happened to find today the First ever squirrel video! It is taken from the kitchen window on the 30th August 2008. It was hubby on that time who had brought some nuts for squirrel during summer.

A great find, Olga! And a long way, you and the squirrels have come!
I saw two squirrels today at my office, a red one and a dark brown. The dark one is a regular now.

Yes, Yoko, she is my other dog Nappu, a Sami Dog female, or a Lap dog, Same people use them to herding the reindeer herd - not that much anymore, but somewhat anyway. Nappu herds our family! Or perhaps our both dogs herd us..Yoko wrote:Thank Olga ! So sweet Mops and beautifull pictures and videos . Good dog , is he your dog?

I guess that if they have grown in Swizzerland they have to be from somewhere not far from you!Manu wrote:Where are this hazel nuts from ????

Mops was like exited as she saw the nuts. She took one, and soon she jumped on the branch, ate the first nut. Then she took the second one. Perhaps she felt that her nut is not in all safe, and next she jumped on the roof edge to go on with her nut. Soon she came back and took the third one..and so on.
PS: It will take about for 30 minutes til all the three videos are ready to see in yotube.
