Unfortunately, an animal has bitten through the cable to the camera. For Thanksgiving, the new owl house is likely to be set up. Then there are new reports. Until then I have a kind of vacation.

Solo :hi: Do you know why the pond camera is no longer running? Does the goose have a ban, to showing itself in public, after the somersault? :rotf:

one of two little black storklets from RS Makov perished in Eritrea - electrocuted :cry: https://albumyrajce.rajce.idnes.cz/ (both in rescue station and also on nest in the wild)

:cry: Poor storklet! This year is really fatal for storks. I remember the summer clip where those storklets were fed.

:hi: Dagmar, the mortality of young storks is very, very high (also by white storks) :bow:

Not saying about the ones who were killed by predators or by their own parents! Only this year there were 4 such storklets in three camera nests.

For those who understand German or Croatian, ARTE has a wonderful movie in the media library til 16th of February.
"Der alte Mann und der Storch".
They also show there, how a transponder is fixed on a stork.
