I found a few webcams from Slovakia.

Nest of White Stork in Demänová.

Does anyone know what happened on this Hungarian nest? http://golya.mme.hu/golyakamera/halaszstream/. On 5-13 there were two adults and 4 good sized chicks on the nest. I looked in at 5:55 am nest time today, and it is totally empty! It is a beautiful setting and a beautiful nest. I was really enjoying watching it and I hate to think something horrible transpired there during the night.

The female is dead. György Feller on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/1050759 ... p_activity writes that it suffered an electric shock. Oh no how sad can it be .. but the chicks has been taken away - hopefully in good care somewhere.

Another tragedy, the worst tragedy I've ever seen with white storks.


Four days ago were still 4 chicks

- heavy rain without ceasing...

Three days ago were at least 3 chicks


- heavy rain without ceasing... I read that in this region the rivers have already started to overflow their banks.......

Yesterday were 2 chicks, one of them already dead.
I saw when the parentstork got up in the late afternoon, and immediately he swallowed him.
And about three hours later the last one.

- Still raining heavily...

I also wondered , that he was always alone. The partner didn't come, not in the afternoon nor in the evening, nor this morning.
This morning he was standing motionless on the nest, and sometime he flew off.

Have you ever seen a white stork, completely soaked like this???

I found intersting video of yesterday. Late in the evening was a battle in the nest between the three storks.
