Re: Iberian Nature Photography
It is very interesting to read the reports of Birgit .
And after a long time ago I find the way back to the "Storchenforum" and I'm happy to read the reports in german, so I understand the reports a bit better .
The experience to see the short-eared owl so long time and close must have been really impressive.
I'm sending my Best wishes and a Happy New Year to Birgit also

Todays photo report is really not nice, but it shows, HOW fierce the fights for territory of the Blackbirds can be, when there is not enough space. Often I watched Blackbirds fight, but such a hard and merciless one as today I saw never before:
Both survived and who wants will find the photos here:

Today again pleasant photos! The beaches of Marbella are not really characterized by birding. But it is migration time and so waders are thankful for any biotope, which is reachable at low tide:
I was pleasantly surprised to see that much action there. And there were other surprises I did not reckon with. That is the good thing concerning observations, that you never know in advance, what is waiting for you
Please find the photos here:

It’s been a long time since we last saw some of Birgits wonderful photo stories … but today!
This Stilt chick had a clear attack of mamitis
and was terrible frightened of the fox at the opposite bank of the lagoon.
Please find the photo report here:
Guadalhorce-Mouth – July 2nd 2013

Imagine, after a little more than a year I had been again at the Salines of Bonanza and my cervical spine behaved in the middle of the birds world, much better as at home. Right you are, my conclusion is, that in the future I rather will be more on the way again. Gee.
Yesterday the birds had gathered in huge flocks …
… I was overjoyed finally to see that many feathered friends. The first part of the report please find here:
... eingefunden und ich bin ja fast verrückt geworden vor Freude, endlich mal wieder so viele gefiederte Freunde zu sehen. Den ersten Teil des berichts findet ihr hier:
