Re: Iberian Nature Photography
Today we experienced something most touching. This time at the Guadalhorce, where we could watch the first hours in the life of a stilt chick and ...
... this was unbelievable cute and touching and and and ...! Here is the way to the photo story from the stilt chick which was born for fleeing the nest:

After I had been in the last days several times at the Guadalhorce I got a few more photos and nice scenes as this zitting cisticola, with thei weight of just 9 gram:
Und da ich ja nun mehrmals in den letzen Tagen am Guadalhorce war, hab ich auch noch mehr Fotos und nette Szenen, wie diesen Cistensänger, gerade mal neun Gramm schwer:

The zitting cisticola cared very much for offspring! The family groups are flying around. High up in the air and as quickly disappear between the culms!
The day before yesterday we had been at the Guadalhorce again. “Our” stilt chicks are fine. They run around like the flibbertigibbets
We also discovered the white-headed ducks offspring:
This rare water bird was almost extinct, - the more we all were happy about this years breeding success!

The little tiny baby stilts and the bigger baby stilts are so cute! I forwarded them to a couple people.

Yesterday Birgit had been again at the river-mouth of the Guadalhorce, where also the young grey herons experienced the fury of the stilt parents:

Today again some photos from Birgits homey biotope. And of course the main actors are the friendly smiling frogs!

Yesterday and exotic visitor landed at Birgits homey biotope, namely this rose-riged parakeet:
Isn't it beautiful? I was so happy about its visit and hope that he'll come back with kith and kin.

And there was another visitor!
Since years the Citti's warbler tease me in the homey biotope. You can hear them but hardly see them. And if you see them it’s just too short. Until today!

Birgit has so much to laugh about the frogs and she is very happy that the photos show the strange sceneries. The guys are in splendid mood, all marital duties are performed and now it’s time to fill the stomach for the winter. Where the flies are sitting doesn’t matter!

News from the frogs biotope!
Today a big female frog made up some hoax. Instead of hunting insects she ate a grape:

Thank you for the beautiful photos and interesting reports, Brit and Birgit!
I have been enjoying every one of them, it has been wonderful work from you and I've been feeling a bit guilty for not saying anything in response... but it seems stupid to post just "thank you" all the time. I hope you both know how much joy have you brought to your followers.

Just for fun some friends an I bought each a camo tent, the so called "Burka"
Up to now it didn't help a bit, because the garden birds are extremely clever and know exactly if and when I am inside. It's not so easy to fool them!
Who would like to see, what the "Burka" is looking like, here you'll find the photos:
