Finally sunshine today from a cloudless Andalusian sky. So Birgit set out for the lagoons of Campillos.

The stone curlews at Fuente de Piedras didn´t get out of our minds. So we went on the way again.

Contrary to the weather forecast it was a beautiful day yesterday and so we drove again to the stork colony and also to the garbage dump where quite a movement could be observed:

Birgit just came back from her weekend trip to the Guadalquivir. And the storks from Africa too, because all the nests on the pilgrimage chapel at the river were occupied.



What does Birgit say: This was just terrific! Same fascination we felt, experiencing the birth of lambs in the middle of this untrafficked roads. And well, anyhow, it was just great! Who would like to see all the photos please come here:

Here we are again!!!

These chirping spotless starlings yesterday were as happy as Birgit, that the sky in Andalusia finally was blue again:

Thank you again Birgit and Brit! Extremly beautiful photos And the birth of a lamb is really moving.. there you are in the middle of a road little lamb on your birthday, everything went OK

Yes, Kuremari and Olga, everything went fine with the little lamb and it´s mother. This was just beautiful to be in middle of the sheeps and to observe this birth. And we also liked it very much to see the big tendernes of the shepherd! :)

Birgit the other evening had her fun. Directly at the pond there is a big bush. And as dusk came this bush started to become lively. Out of its branched branches jumped tree frogs - some from a great hight - directly into the pond. Certainly around 20! This bush Birgit has to investigate during daytime

Hi Olga and all other dear readers!

Today I have to admit you something .... hm hmmm hmmm .... how can I say it ... ... I love those frogs! All of them! I find them sooo funny, that I can spent hours and hours with them observing their way of live and making pictures.

But be sure: I dont´forget the birds! Black kites migration is just crazy right now en southern Spain. Thousands of them coming home from Africa. Unfortunately today the weather was too bad for good pictures. We´ll try it once again tomorrow.

Somehow when I was watching the photos and reading the story, could sense that. They are enchanting, and when they have got your heart, you do not care any discomfort, do not notice the hours. You have mediated that feeling by sharing these photographs of the lovely frogs a direct contact with nature.

Yesterday and today Birgit had been at the garbage dump of Los Barrios. The migration of the black kites from Africa …



… back to their breeding habitats started. We hope to meet many more in Los Barrios.Here the photos of the last two days:

Her Black kite-photographs are gorgeus - Milvus migrans, in Estonian Must-harksaba and in Finnish Haarahaukka If I don't remember wrong it is a rare bird here in Finland, but our neighbour insisted last summer that one couple of them he had seen here around our little hill)

I wonder if Birgit has wings too! How on earth is it possible to take that kind of super photos of flying black kites So the spring time is on its way, there are also tens and tens of White storks returning to North!

May I add some of them here to see direct?

thank you very much for your so kind answers!

I´m very happy that I could transmit the beauty and the fun of these little frogs.

It would be great to have wings, but it´s much easier to take the pictures of the black kites with both feet in the ground. Their movements are soooo quick. If I would also be able to move in the aire ... impossible to get a picture! And ... you cannot imagine how many bad pictures I did this day. Hundreds! But some of the black kites came very close and the light was quite good. So I had a chance to try it once and once and once again!

Black kites are real artists in the air. When they loose some food they are carring they are able to fly after the food falling down and catch it once again. I love and admire those birds! But waht do I say? I love ALL birds and ALL animals, beside of the cucarachas maybe!
