There are two things floating around the feeding ground -- the salt and the top of the pole.

i guess this is why Mait is making these spotty patterns with the grain: a spot for each pig! :rotf: result: less quarrels! :innocent: ...maybe...

ahaah! that's the upper part of the pole that the big boar was pushing around in the front just a while ago. i've been trying to figure out the whole day what that might be.

i don't think they give a hat about the snow. it's the sign of extremely good thermal insulation that the snow remains unmelted on their backs. what i'm wondering about is their snouts... they must be rather thin-skinned, i guess, because they are supposed to be sensitive, but yet the pigs use them as shovels and hammers and what ever other hard tools! that is amazing.

I just saw voli (not sure if that is the right spelling).

It was so close to the big pig snout's (they must lose most of their heat through their snouts) that I thought I must have imagined it but I think it was there.

My attempts at posting Volli

March 19th: good morning!
oh Alice, did you see the mouse?? he's called Volli. he's incredibly courageous or extremely stupid to go around in front of a pig's snout!
now on the ground there's a deer.
Image
correction: there are two! i just saw another deer's ear peaking into the picture. :peek:
now there's one foot and half a head.... coming in ...

there was some interesting sound on the left?

Image
now the buck is nice and kind: he lets the female eat in peace.

Ahh double ll

I have 3 screen captures that together allow you to see a dark spot is there, then moved a little then gone -- along with a circle might show Volli up. I am not feeling very good so I will post them tomorrow.
