Only a few pigs munching. I think our pig with the sore swollen leg is there and although he is thin he seems to be a boss.

(If all goes well I will have an image.)

good morning!
congratulations venagor! :2thumbsup:
on the feeding ground it seems to be cloudy again, as was promised in the weather forecast yesterday. only one raven on the ground at this moment, but there are lots of ravens calling in the trees around.

We heard that a wolf attacked one of these boar and injured its leg. This must be that boar.

the wolf attack must have been early in the winter, because if i remember right this injured boar has been around from the very beginning of the season, hasn't it? :puzzled:

i think this boar shows how the boar are not at all helpless animals: they are able to defend themselves against predators and resist them. (as long as there isn't a group of predators and/or the boar is not alone, i guess.)

there's a continuous choir of ravens and crows calling in the surrounding forest, with occasional calls by jackdaws and jays, but nobody comes to the ground. maybe the boar vacuumed the ground quite clean of grain last night. :puzzled: there's not even little birds there on the ground...

i think it is a jackdaw.
try typing when an old & small cat decides that the keyboard of a warm laptop is the best place where to sit! :rotf: - she also could find all kinds of programs in the computer which i had never seen before by pressing the keys randomly, plus she turned the screen from landscape to portrait once. :rotf: - i bought an electrically heated warm-pad for her. since then we have lived more in peace.

it's funny day: so much crow- and jackdaw-cawing but hardly no-one coming to the ground. some ravens are calling, too. and that dog is barking again there in the distance.

there have been about half a dozen magpies picking grain on the ground together with some little birds.

if i remember correct the injured boar has been seen rarely but regularly, on the average about once a week or so. it's there maybe even more often, but it's difficult to identify a certain boar in a large group of boars, with only the bad leg as a distinctive mark.

almost as soon as i made the previous remark of magpies being there, they all decided to fly away.
now there are only ravens and crows crawing around, plus some fly-overs (i hear wings schwizzz-schwizzing above the cam). - now some yellowhammers landed there.
