It seems that there have been more deer at this feeder than last year -- I guess that is a sign that they really need the food to survive.

there was this beauty at 7.38.

at 7.38 onwards there were two deer eating there, quite peacefully...



i'm not sure how it was last year: were the deer here all winter? i started watching this cam about a year ago, and i remember i was admiring the deer here just like now, in the mornings. they were here last spring, too. -this much snow doesn't make life easy for them, of course.

Last year at least 4 or 5 different deers appeared on the feeding ground but when the THING was placed, they all got so scared that didn't come up for a week or two.

I have 3 screen captures that together allow you to see a dark spot is there, then moved a little then gone -- along with a circle might show Volli up. I am not feeling very good so I will post them tomorrow.

that would be great. - i think nobody has seen Volli for a long time... i think not since they brought the trailer-full of grain there and poured it on Volli's roof... well: at least next to his 'house'.

food has been delivered. there's a nice regular spiral again, so it has been Mait.

One boar on the ground and another behind the trees, then both left.

Now they are on the ground together with a raven

A unusual voice from the raven krrr krrr krr. Is it love perhaps?

yes, Oliv, that must have been a love song. even though i did not hear it, the posture is singing-a-lovesong-pose.

the lights turned on at about 17.30 and about 5 minutes later the first groiink-grooiink sounds were coming out of the forest...
now there came someone (human) to bring something on the ground!

this jacket and the posture looked familiar... it may have been the woman who has been here with her son.... maybe.

for some reason the boar were very cautious and suspicious of the ground and it took very long for them to get tot the ground in the end. these are earlier pictures than the above ones of the food bringer.

now the pigs have returned.



they are still a bit jumpy... running away, coming back... now there is a happy munching going on...

the boar were away for at least half an hour but now they are coming back.

some later pictures: they were gone for a while but then they gradually returned....

it is snowing again, and boars are getting covered with snow.
