I missed some of those sounds -- I was out back sewing. I did hear something rattling at the cam for awhile and now I hear a Varied Thrush -- but finally I realized that was live outside my house not from the cam.

Varied Thrush (if you decide to play the sound be careful it is loud -- especially Ame if you have on headphones)
http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Varied_Thrush/id

Ohh now I hear raccoon dog screams -- that is from the cam.

The one pig seems content with the food and being alone.

I thought it might be but I have not yet seen the leg.

I heard one short sharp call -- I guess I think it might have been some kind of owl.

Two raccoon dogs yowled and skirted around the edge of the feeding ground.

They sound like a little kid imitating some kind of motor -- an old prop plane.

2:14
3 of them are almost visible.

2:15
No it is 4 of them.

The lights are out but the sky is not really light -- so I cannot really see. There are a few shadows and lots of happy munching noises.

March 28th: good morning!

it's raining and it's rather windy. there are water puddles around the ground all over. some birds chirping and a blackbird.... the rain is getting harder. this will make the snow disappear...

hmm..? :puzzled: the weather data seems to be missing. the only number that was there was the temperature: 0, but i think that was actually missing data, too. all the other values were "---". surely it must be well over zero...

it's raining still and the wind is rather hard. there's a quite large puddle on the left right behind the lamp. a bullfinch is whistling but that's all...

I think it´s up to those people who have always fed them if they continue( and i think they will continue). It´s webcam broadcasting that finishes.

last year the broadcast was still on for some time after the link from the LK main page was removed. see here: viewtopic.php?p=31840#p31840
we found the camera still through eenet.ee for some time if i remember right. :dunno: now even that route doesn't work... "too many retries" it says, "giving up". :faint: http://www.eenet.ee/EENet/

we weren't able to see stripies this year....

the LK main page announcement looks like quite definite: they've pulled the plug out, without giving us any warning...
http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/6941
well, we knew we had it coming sooner or later. i just wished that it would be later, maybe a week or so would have been enough to see stripies... we'll have to resort ourselves to siga2- and Jaanioja cameras. i hope they will broadcast a bit longer, even though siga2-arena resembles even a swimming pool, not just a mud-wrestling ring.

thank you all who have provided us with the opportunity have some unique, enchanting and entertaining scenes here during the winter: the elks/moose (meese, melks,... ) deer, furries, Volli, foxes, flying bread, many different kinds of birds starting from ravens to all the littlest ones which we couldn't even identify... and of course the piggies big and smaller! :loveshower:

thank you Mait and his colleagues and helpers for bringing the food every day no matter hail or storm, and thank you the people who have paid for the food! we wish to see you again next winter.

nice, of course, that the animals are fed more, but why should broadcast end by exciting at a time when it is expected will soon be born or already born in the appearance of small striped pigs???
