Thanks Kuremari!
Mari is a common Finnish name too.
karpalo =cranberry but in Swedish it is tranbär = crane berry. Funny how its about birds, crane or stork :nod:

kurki = stork
marja = berry

vaino is from USA? That is why I was wondering about the name as it sounds so "homely"....

Our group of 12 is doing fine, all look happy and healthy.
What happens when the mamas give birth? Will she leave the "nest" to find food? How soon will the piglets start moving around?
These are things you never think about when you only know the domestic pigs - living in barns....

Yes, the female pigs will leave their nests sometimes for finding some food, but not for a long time. They become loners for some weeks. The piglets will start moving around after maybe 2 weeks.
