Re: Wild Boar webcam Season 2011 - 2012
I have no idea what it says but a sunset picture of a pig -- seems a bad sign.
Thanks for all the good times

I also just saw the article and asked Google to help me, it looks like this was it for this season as the camera has to be repaired and it's high time to install the camera at the Black Stork nest. I guess Liis will be giving us the correct translation soon.

i tried to read the news again and if i understood it right it says that after the second break (after the harvester broke the cable and that was fixed) they have checked all the transmission chain and it seems now that the camera is faulty in some way. the next week would have been the last any way or this camera would be transported to the BS next on next week so they decided to quit for the spring. or something in that way...
Liis will make it clear.
this is the season of changes. hopefully we'll see some succesfull nestings later.

I did not know this will be my last picture for this season - and I have not seen Volli, though I looked for him

, Ame, Bea and all others -
you have pieced the news together pretty well and correctly!
Cam is closed because of camera fault; all other parts in transmission chain were in working order after the harvester rip-down got repaired.
The camera will be needed soon for black storks and so must go to workshop for repairs.
At least 1) black stork camera 2) meeting again next winter here are promised
Proper translation on its way.
PS. Translation is up http://www.looduskalender.ee/node/12696
Google Translator: "Camera stops the transfer of forest" - poetical justice because the harvester stopped the camera?

Thanks @ all for the information.
It's very sad that season is finished and we will not see the "little pigglets in pyjamas".
But I hope next winter we will see the piggies again .

I have enjoyed watching the boars all winter & am sad we could not see the tiny piglets again this year. But I liked to see all the creatures that came there & to see how the weather was there, too. And it was fun to see the small children bring food & stomp in mud puddles, & also to watch as Mait & helpers provided food. It was also a wonderful treat to find out about the TV crew that was there & to see comments from people who sat waiting for boars in the viewing hut at night.
Thank you to all who made the cam possible! You provide much pleasure to many around the world.

what a pity that the cam is no longer online because of the Techical problems.
I would have loved to see the little piggies in their striped pajamas.
It is no different, hopefully next year and I hope you all over again to see.
Thanks for everything looduskalender to be allowed to watch, I also thank those who so often brought the food
, and thank all forum visitors
see you next season
