Welcome, Kryddan. If you are interested, you can hear the sound of the wolf pack which was near the feeding ground in 2009. The video is here http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/2841

I am hearing the raccoon dogs eating and I could take my laptop next to my fridge for opening every half an hour - perhaps I must put my sound off -
Image

:whistling: soon the raccoons can sing: Rolling home, rolling home......

edit: some minutes later there came another one, now there are four munching dogs

I tried to get a look at their tailes, but Shorttail is not among them I think ....

@ edziks111
When I remember right it lasted about 7 days last season until boars appeared at the feedingground ...

Two raccoon dogs eating when I opened the cam a short while ago, only one now. But that one is so cute as it is sitting on its haunches in a pile of food grooming its fur right now. :whistling:

As for boars, though none of us have yet seen them to get a photo or video, Fleur got the sound of them in a recording a couple of days ago, so they are about. And I thnk they do come here. Look at the mud, it looks like there are many boar footprints in it.

:hi: Fleur! I think like most animals, they would probably have their babies in the spring. Right now, I think they are putting on fat to get through the winter. I read that they hibernate, but we have seen them active at the feeding grounds all winter long, so I don't know if all of them have hibernation?

Yes, something really disturbed the jays! I hoped it would come into the clearing so we could see what it was. You are probably right about the RDs & hibernating.

We only have the forum. So there is a record for everyone else to read what we saw. (It also gives people time to do translations if they need to.) With this cam it is often pretty lively -- more than one person watching and talking, but for some of the other cams there are only a few of us watching at any one time.

There are some conversation threads for just talking, but they are usually slower.

I think as the raven signals it is safe more creatures will arrive.
