is this a voice of a mallard?
i heard a few times after 4 pm. is there a pool or a ditch or some other open water near somewhere. mallards don't need much water...
most of the day there have been jays eating on the ground plus a yellowhammer or two and some great tits. this picture was taken at 15.49.
EDIT: the light turns on at 16.31 with a loud buzz, just like last year.
again the mallard calls! kaa-kaa, kaa-kaa-kaa-kaa! in lowering pitch. now i'm sure it was a mallard.

i suppose there must be something for some animal in the bucket, otherwise it wouldn't be left there i think. i saw today how one jay landed on the bucket but it flew on right away and landed on the ground. so i suppose there is nothing interesting for jays (or other birds)...? what could it be?carminandreea wrote:why is the bucket there? should it be put somewhere not for the animal to see it?
i'd also like to know what is that blue shiny thing on the ground in the back. i can't see anything there in the daytime, but there has to be something which reflects light back to the camera in the dark. there are some shiny blue spots in the centre, too.
now there's the noise of a chainsaw somewhere far...
