Wow, what a lot has been happening now that the cam is restored! Mating RDs, in living color . . . :whistling: Good catch, Felis! And it was good to see the boars again, too, Bea!

And now, there were two roe deer there. The bucks' antlers are becoming very fine & impressive.

:bash: Cam keeps going start-stop, start-stop for me. Then black screen & I have to restart everything. I hope it settles down so I can record if the piggies come here.

I think there will be no more animals for a while. There were already people & loud noise at the lodge this morning at 5:40.

I turned the sound down on the noise so it would not blast your ears!

And now, the sky is getting lighter & morning is not far off.

 Good morning, I took the relative quiet here in the morning to quickly upload the film I made yesterday afternoon. Careful - it is quite loud!

Edit: I add a snap I made just before the storm broke out, deer had been there:

then the storm came (just one minute later!)

and 20 minutes later - peace again!

Liis wrote: Google Translator: Interesting. The Estonian original has no indication of direct mode of address, simply "And silly things are done ...". So GT obviously switched over to its drama and social relations phrases section; Estonian can - just - have this backhanded way of telling someone off, something like the nurse and patient "we", meaning "you!" Clever GT, really.
I really like GT - when I am translating I always have two of them open, even if I would not really need the English-German, it's so interesting to see what "it" does and the Estonian-English/German still teaches me bits and pieces of Estonian language. But this yesterday was really funny! Oi, siis tehakse lollusi
(by the way, in way of pronunciation, is Estonian pronounced like it is written, or has it special things like so many other languages?)

About the raccoon dogs, or invasive animals in general - they are a problem, sometimes a big, sometimes not so much. Some have come on their own, without human help, some with human help. For some there is or would be a natural solution, for some there is not. It's difficult, especially if one actually loves everything living and wants to give everyone a "chance". Some take the chance and take away the chance for a native species, like the grey squirrel does with the red one e. g. in UK. I do see the threat and danger the RDs pose for native animals ...
