Hello!
Thank you all for the beautiful pictures!
Here is news from Tallinn Zoo:

http://www.loomaaed.ee/index.php?ide=20&shownews=149

Khasan and Khanka were separated from their mother Darla
25.11.2010

The Amur leopard is one of the most critically endangered big cats in the world, with just 35−40 remaining in the wild. To save it from extinction, zoos have launched Amur leopard captive breeding programmes. Our genetically pure breeding pair, Darla and Freddi, have produced offspring for a couple of times and we expect to get a few more litters from them. But not more, because Freddi is over 15 years old and his breeding ability will probably last for not more than three years. There is no time to lose and following the advice of the species coordinators, we decided to prepare ground for new mating. To give mother Darla some time to regain her strength, it was necessary to separate Khasan and Khanka from their mother, all the more so that they are big enough to cope already on their own (in captivity, leopard cubs reach independence earlier than in the wild).
First the cubs were allowed to get used to the transport crate and then, on 22 November, they were taken to their new home in the bear house. For a few days they will stay out of sight indoors, but soon it will be possible for the visitors of the zoo to see them in their outdoor enclosure. Next summer they will be transferred to other zoos – Khanka to Prague and Khasan to Novosibirsk.

We hope that next year new offspring will be born whose growth and development we can watch through web cameras.

That is the life of an endangered species,I suppose.. :slap: We are sad to hear they are soon to go elsewhere but I suppose it's entirely necessary.
Thanks to Looduskalander we were able to see them for a long while.
So,Darla you have a very important rendevous with Freddi in ? the springtime.
Good luck to the Zoo team. :D

it was great to Khasan and Khanka to follow when growing up.
Now some rest for mother Darla.
Hopefully everything goes well with them.

Thank you for the up-date, and we were allowed to watch.
