78.Watched Like Never Before… the local economic benefits of spectacular bird species
" Species are a powerful symbol of the conservation of wildlife and the environment. In conservation terms, all species are equal. However, to the 2.85 million people who go birdwatching in the UK, some species are more spectacular than others. The enduring popularity of spectacular bird species is reflected in visitor interest and enjoyment by millions of people; and in some cases is manifested as substantial local economic activity.

84.European colour-ring Birding
European colour-ring Birding is a platform between the field-observer and the project-leader. Therefore it can't provide any details or life-list of your sighting. To get this information, you have to go through this website, find the project-leader and contact her/him.
Contact (in English, Dutch, French and German):
cr-birding@skynet.be
http://www.cr-birding.be/
Photo-Guide to Colour-Ringed Birds
our aim is to improve and spread the interest of people for colour-rings reading by means of a constant updating about all the projects on colour-ring birding all over Europe ... obviously only through pictures! According to us our site can help spreading the importance of cr-reading activities. As a result both birdwatchers and cr-readers will concentrate their consideration on bird's legs thus increasing attention on rings and other kinds of marking. This will be helpful to all those people who have projects to carry out or have to study the data received. A positive support for birds, and for environment too.

93.Sea eagle project Newsletter 2005
"The Scottish white-tailed or sea-eagle population continues to do well with new territories now expected every year. Scottish bred young are increasingly being recruited into the population and steadily replacing the few remaining old Norwegian birds imported during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Many immatures and young adults have been seen in 2005; this is very encouraging.
The usual information is compiled in this newsletter – how each individual territory has fared, where wandering immatures have been seen, how the increasingly popular public viewing facilities have done and other relevant
issues.
