About the video: “Guess who's not coming to dinner? The uninvited guest on this occasion is an adult White-tailed Eagle, which has spied an opportunity to indulge in a spot of kleptoparasitism. Don't blink or you might just miss the impact. Putting yourself in a position to be lucky brings obvious rewards on an island as wildlife-rich as Mull.” Source: Youtube, mullmagic
White-tailed Eagle diet: "The species is a versatile hunter (...). It is opportunistic in its search for food (...) and thus it may be a predator, scavenger, and kleptoparasite that eats fish, water birds, mammals, and carrion." Why have so many photos disappeared from the LK forum? Why do you see an information about "3rd party hosting" instead?
Because Photobucket has new rules. Comment by Shaun Nichols in The Register: “Not surprisingly, the new rules went over with users about as well as a rattlesnake in a pinata...” Read more https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/06/3 ... party_pgs/
In the Uckermark again and again sea eagle trees are destroyed. It is noticeable that the nests of the protected animals were mostly near planned wind parks. The professionally active offenders face high imprisonment.
They chicks are missing
Liz, chicks are missing? I have stored this article last month in WtE in the Media 2017, doc. 70 viewtopic.php?f=46&t=868&start=60
As I understand it, it was confirmed that eggs have been removed.

Observers began to spot a baby Red-tailed hawk in an eagles’ nest living side by side with three very large eaglets, and seeming to be doing quite well.” Read more: American Bald Eagle Foundation, 27 June 2017 https://www.eagles.org/red-tailed-hawk- ... gles-nest/
