I think I remember that Jo wrote right in the beginning, that they will be also testing different ways of lighting the site? Maybe that was some test?Normally it is so dark at night - what happened now?
I just wondered how late you are still up

It has been very quiet in the forest this morning, only a silent raven finding something tasty in the spot where the seal used to be. The light through the grasses is gorgeous!

I am glad to have time to watch the cams again now that all my visitors are gone, but I am sleepy tonight, so will log off for now. Goodnight / good day, everyone, enjoy the cams today. I am

It was an exception that I stayed as long last night. I am also watching a cat-cam in Ohio and there was a very small cat who felt sick and they took her in a clinic. I was waiting what is going on with this little Bitzy. But above all I was noisy if there will appear a bear which we could watch much better than before. But it didn't...

Last time I was to bed always very early, cause is the strong medicine against pains.
I know it gives glasses where hunters can see very clear during the night. But they are very expensive. I thought that the bearcampeople changed the cam in such new kind.
Flex: Please compare this two pictures I took here yesterday. They are from one night before the next one. It is not the summer that changed the brightness.

Bleggi what I find amazing is that I had the cam on, but I was not always watching and I did not really notice the change, but in your captures it is quite evident.
I don't think it is the kind of cam that really sees in the dark, but they must have changed the settings a little bit so that a little bit of light makes a lot of difference.
I sort of like to be around to see the change from black and white to colour.

Now I've looked - and had a good laugh about our first sightings, the crazy cuckoo and and and ... - about the light. It was not Jo*), it was Mannike who wrote about the light! Look here:
*) thought Jo knows everything, so she must have known this as wellmannike wrote:Once a while you might notice that webcam is covered or
night vision is turned off.
All this is to make this webcamera more comfortable for wildlife and
for you.
During this time when webcamera is covered we cut branches and grass
(plants kill the view quickly).
At night we test night vision by turning it off or on. Nobody knows how mammals really react, nobody dont know do they see it or not.
Sorry if this actions annoy you, but we want the best.

I could cry when I must try ten times to get a pic and it works only when the animal is not so to see it in good shape

The light was much darker than the night before and I think it is going on like the nights before. Yesterday the light did not switch from lighter into darker than it was in the other nights.
But it is such a great pity that one can get nicer pics. I see the bear turning from hiding to walk and I will take a pic, but no..., no....., again no.... in not one of the two ways it could work - no.

No maybe it is there, I think it was hunkered down and now it is up a bit higher.

While MOBOTIX was here just now I tried four times for a pic - nothing. When the letters were away, then appeared a pic .
With my last taken pic I will go to bed now - we have 1:02 am and I am very tired. Good night

After logging out I looked still a short time and saw the bear like:
