Asteria, yes, of course you are right - the story is in the Oson video.
Although it is about the Belgian black storks. Ain Nurmla tells that one of the storks even threw the marten down from the nest, but it came back, and ate the remaining eggs.
Sorry, I didn't listen or look very carefully before I put the link up.

An awful climb for Ain Nurmla - and no gloves on either  .

Felis - I haven't been looking very carefully at the LK stork nest environments. But the Osoon one is said to be in a birch, several times, and that we have not had on LK cameras. Also, it is said to be near the Latvian border.
The harassing bird - or the most serious of them - was said to be a WTE.
Ain Nurmla also says they are putting up 12 track cameras this year (re-named self-photographing cams :innocent: , "isepildistavad kaamerad")
Subtitles: sparingly done in Estonian productions overall, it seems.

Maybe it is a different one, but I think it is not the "Kurg" one where we saw Üks, Kaks, Johanna and Neli grow up, as this particular nest was in an oak tree, if I remember correctly .

Maybe somebody should suggest subtitles to them :innocent: , I think a lot of people from this forum have started watching those films, they are really interesting, even if one does not understand what is said

The ravens did not appreciate the company, I think. The dogs got some pretty good bites of the carcass & that one thought it could pull the whole thing away. They were handsome dogs, though.I wonder what kind? They do not look familiar to me, they must be a European breed.

The ravens continue to be busy eating at the carcass by the pine tree. There are also hooded crows. I wish we had a good zoomie like we had with Mutikluti et al. for the Nova cam.

But now, I am :offtobed:, so I will enjoy all the photos & videos when I come back in a few hours. Goodnight / Good day, everyone.

If a camera follower a good runner, I think there is quite some distance between the eagle feeding place and Alutaguse forest!

:slap: Oh, oh,oh!! If only the moonlight were brighter! A HUGE bear just came from left to right & is eating something behind the bush at the left side of the big pine! :peek: I heard step-step-step & saw something big-- a big black shadow-- coming. Now I can hear it sniffing sometimes & chewing. I tried to get photos but they are very very dark. YOu can make out that the bear is not there in the first one, but the big shadow is there on the second.

1st bear is outlined in red.

You can hear it sniffing or blowing air at about 25 seconds into the video.

I tried to change brightness & contrast on my media player to see if I could record at least some of the movement the bear makes. I think it is having a "Roman meal," that is, lying down & just eating away.

I wish it could be a better recording so all of you could share the excitement of the first bear sighting this season.

Another attempt to get some view of the bear. Better visibility this time because I changed WMP settings a bit.
