The bear is having a good midnight snack! I think you are right-- it was bones & not branches I heard breaking.



Bear is behind the skinny tree on the right. You can only see its head move once in a while.

It was fun to review the memories!

Now a crow was eating where the carcass was & a woodpecker was working on the tree trunks.

I think so. Both food items last night did seem to be tethered to that branch somehow. Perhaps Mannike will log on & tell us the situation, or Manu may ask him about it & make a report.

Oh good, You got some great pictures of the bear, Bea. I just logged on as it was at the right side of the cam view, & I was trying to make a movie, but the bear moved too fast on cam & off cam a few times, so I gave up.

I may have gotten my facts mixed up! I remember someone a few days ago (or weeks ago, I am not sure) said something about Mannike telling them he had been in the bear hide & what bears we had seen during the night. Sorry for the mixup . . .

A nice bear came from the left now & is eating right up front-- smack-smack-smack-- almost like the boars!

This one looks a bit smaller than the other ones we have seen here. I wonder if it is a female or a younger bear? It certainly is eating enthusiastically.

Yes, it seems kind of nervous, like afraid the two bigger bears will show up & be displeased.

I´m it is late .... but we have Celebration Day today/tomorrow, so I´ll have the chance to sleep as long as I want ..... better said - as my doggie wants .....
