Oh, sorry, Fleur-- it was at the time I posted, right before 1:00 a.m. You had to listen closely because the owl does not seem to be very near the cam. It is a soft whistled peep-peep-peep about every second or so. Like this: http://www.xeno-canto.org/83268Fleur wrote: I would also like to hear the owl. You wrote no time, so I'm curious?

He's a handsome raccoon dog, gorgeous striped fur & nice dark face.
(Now I go back to bed.)

This is probably ural owl, big owl with big head and long tail, is relatively usual in Estonia. The National Geographic Magazine published in June issue an article from Estonian nature photographer Sven Začek and Ural Owl http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2012/ ... fiegl-textBea wrote:There was an owl hunting on Alutaguse ground ....

@Fleur
What a pretty fox, looks healthy with nice tail and no mange

Welcome to the forum
Thank you for the info!
It´s not easy to take pics in good quality at nighttime - even when nights are lighter now, I saw the owls´ face for a short moment very clear when she flew in a good angle to the cam, but couldn´t take a good pic.
She was very beautiful

Wonderful video & photos of the lovely fox, Fleur! It looked so nice & came so close to the cam. And the woodcock always sounds like a frog to me.
