Kuremari, I have to agree with you. Last year's cam was much more entertaining and interesting! I don't know if anyone involved with this project reads this forum. I see some members have asked questions. They deserve an answer, too!Kuremari wrote:

Please, Loodusemees, can you help us?

These 2 birds are Marsh Tits for sure. I saw and photographed them just a few hours ago. They were calling and since the calls of Willow and Marsh Tit are quite different the species could be determined for sure

Nice pictures Ricky.
But, i still don't see the different, learning for yet more.
My husband says :
Marsh Tit is one of the bands, by the throat, smaller.
the Willow Tit, the bands, wider at the throat.
With the Great Tit
The male the band is wider. from throat to bottom of the abdomen. / median line
( sorry, for translate the right word ? )

The black patch at the chin of the Willow Tit is - usually - broader/bigger!
And the Willow Tit also has some lighter (almost white) coloured featheres in the wing. Marsh Tits have wings without any white colours.
Here these white feathers in the wing are quite well visible:
Yes, the male Great Tits have a broader black band on the belly.Fleur wrote:With the Great Tit

I'm from Florence to Italy and I'm very content to participate to this forum even if my English is not good.
I have known the cams of Looduskalender through http://www.birdcam.it (cams of peregrine falcon in Bologna, Roma and Firenze) where we have a topic dedicated to cam in Estonia and where I have mailed many pics the last year of Black Stork and this year of Linda e Suvel and Klaara.
I have had problems to mail here the pics but I have resolved, this is a test:

I think a huge flock of crows was just playing outside the feeder. It sounded like it was more birds than one could count.
