don't you just love the feet?
Surely it is too early for the missing Swan to be sitting on a nest?

The Mute Swan will start the brood in April/May, and the Whooper Swan in middle of May. In terms of the weather, with icy water and snow, I guess it`s early yet.alice44 wrote:don't you just love the feet?

I agree with Flex, it must be a Canada goose.Flex wrote: I think - she is an Canada Goos (Kanadagans - Branta canadensis).
14:04 - Sometimes the wind takes hold of the water surface and creates ripples. Some Swans are out on the water. It`s a beautiful and blue day:
edit: the white spots, who I thought was swans, are in the same place all the time so it must be something else..maybe some fishing stuff

20:26 - Evening has arrived. If you look carefully you can see a single Swan close to the shore:

I think you're mistaken with species identification. It's not goose after the silhouette and in general Canada Goose is rare species in Estonia. My version that it's female Common Merganser.Gaby wrote: I find, that Flex and Lussi are right and would even say the same: Canada goos
