Re: ESTLAT Osprey Nest Webcam Discussion 2012
22:17 Only hope for No3 is that Uno and No 2 get so much food they will be satisfied.
I am hoping Piret will then continue & feed No 3.
3 was up but fell then the other way around. Its taking 3 so much energy to get in position. C'mon little fella.!
Its hard to watch....

Oh. NO, it hasn't got any food at all It tried several times and then gave up and tried again and gave up again.
This does not look good.
This is so hard to see, that giant fish lying there and the youngest hungry and exhausted.

22:27 Feeding finished for now. Piret is settling on the chicks.
I didn't see 3 get one bite. Did anone else see ?
Look at that 3 is nearly over by the fish.. NO, he's been tucked under a wing. He could not feed by himself anyway.

Madis knows they are not competely satisfied But, strange, Piret doesn't do anything with it. Goes away and comes back and lies over the chicks.

23:00 Now something is happening with both Piret and madis but its too dark to see anything.
EDIT I meant that I could see them both standing over the nestbowl but too dark to see IF they were feeding. Sorry Jopie if you misunderstood.
Goodnight Jopie,we can only hope for the best. Tomorrow,we'll see.

Macdoum, the way I saw it was Madis coming to try and feed and Piret acting as if she was going to, then Madis left and Piret flew away, but came back right away and settled upon the chicks.macdoum wrote:23:00 Now something is happening with both Piret and madis but its too dark to see anything.

Welcome, gala and francesca
Time will tell about little #3. I wonder if Piret detects something "not right" and therefore does not feed it? I did see it getting some food from Madis very early this morning.
I missed the big fish, so I looked in the archives to see what Pontu had captured.

Sorry, I had no time for posting before now.
I saw chick 3 got food during afternoon. So chick 3 has got some food during the day.
About 13.40 there was a feeding and chick 3 got several good bites during some minuts.
17.13 a feeding began and chick 3 got some bites. And at this time its craw wasn´t totally flat
And about ½ an hour ago there was a lot of chirping in the dark for many minuts, sounded like a feeding was going on.

Over the last 10 minutes it has gotten almost light enough to see, but the wind sounds so fierce.

I think I can hear the chicks chirping -- despite the wind.

The chicks were on their own for a bit.
When mom returned they were covered pretty fast, by the time I clicked they were pretty much covered.

Mom left and the littlest (and the others) are still definitely begging.
