Thank you for staying awake and posting your pictures, Galina! Thanks also for the other pictures and videos. :2thumbsup:
Too bad that the live stream is interrupted.

I saw the lovely trio at midday today. Piret left the nest at 12:34. She returned at 12:39.

Piret returns to her chicks

@b.h-p: Yes, I have noticed an audio/video distortion before. Think the reason is somehow this new kind of livestream. Whenever I upload one of this videos I get a YouTube hint which informs about possible audio/video synchronization problems in this clip. This happens not with videos from the “normal” streams (WtE nests, Storks, Alutaguse).

I e-mailed to Urmas a few days ago - he knew about the cam problems but was unable to do anything until this week. He was busy with field works. I think he was urging us to pray for sunshine to power the batteries, but who knows what the current problem is? At least, it stayed on long enough for us to see the third chick arrive!
I will send more e-mails.

Field works - making me think -
Wouldn't it be really interesting if these "field workers" would post a report of their activities here. Of course, that is a time-consuming thing to do, just at a very busy time of year.

Oh well, back to e-mail.

Yes Jo we nkow just how busy they are, especially at this time of the year.
We remember too that they are volunteers who toil from dawn to dusk to make sure all the nests are safe.Soon they will have to ring the chicks as well. The webcams are an extra job for them so we can be understanding, patient and supportive.

Reply from Urmas -
The problem with JW player based camera streams is connected with server.
Server software was updated, but probably new version is not so tolerant to stream sharing as older one was...
Techno-Urmas works on that.

Some more Pontu pics. What happened?

20:45 One adult “hides” a fish; a fishtail is on the edge of the nest
http://pontu.eenet.ee/kalakotkas/2012-0 ... -20-45.jpg
One parent stands in the nest (the same bird?)…
http://pontu.eenet.ee/kalakotkas/2012-0 ... -20-46.jpg
… and leaves the nest with the fish?
http://pontu.eenet.ee/kalakotkas/2012-0 ... -20-47.jpg
20:49 One adult bird is back…
http://pontu.eenet.ee/kalakotkas/2012-0 ... -20-49.jpg
… in this picture it´s Piret, no ring. And also the fish is back? :puzzled:
http://pontu.eenet.ee/kalakotkas/2012-0 ... -20-52.jpg

Or was the fish in the nest all the time? I can´t see it in the pictures. :help:
