5:35 Piret stands and flaps her wings to stretch, then she flies off


5:37 Baby Uno makes a big poop shot

5:37 Piret returns - she finds some fish on the nest and starts to offer bites to the chicks (they accept). She also takes two good-sized bites for herself.



5:48 Feeding is over, Piret broods. I am not sure the #3 got any food, but Uno and Dos(#2) did.

6:11 Madis arrived on the nest (I was not watching, but heard Piret start chirping). There is a now a large headless fish attached to his talon - did he bring it? No, I think this might be leftovers from the last meal. Piret chirps but no one is interested in eating.

6:45 Piret starts to chirp, and soon Madis soars back to the nest, still holding onto that last piece of fish. He offers bites to the chicks hidden under Piret's breast, but he eats them all himself (while she watches and chirps).







Soon, he stops offering, and just eats.

6:54 Madis offers Piret a nice bite, but she does not take it.

6:58- 6:59 Madis pokes at punky stick, then backs off and flies away.

It is raining, Piret is rather wet. Hopefully it will stop soon.

He really is a hero.



Piret starts feeding and our youngest is growing good.

Feeding was soon over, Piret covering the chicks again.

Any ideas about the names for the chicks?

9.56 Madis brought a large fish with head. It took a little while before Piret got up and took the fish from Madis, but chicks were chirping they had noticed what happened.
All 3 were begging eagerly. Chick 3 stood behind the oldest and when they had enough and turned chick 3 lost the balance and fell and didn´t succeed in coming on its feet again - and the opportunity for chick 3 to get food has passed, feeding ended 10.03

Asteria, it NOW is headless, because Piret fed the head first to the chicks

Little one did get a few bites in a seperate feeding.

11.23 uk. Piret appears to be sleeping and chicks are quiet.
Caring for 3 chicks is hard work.
When I first viewed this nest I had doubts about Piret and Madis as they appeared so scatty, but how wrong I was and what wonderful parents they are turning out to be.
Piret looks very bedraggled and wet must be raining there.
Piret is now awake and is covering the chicks.
Piret asleep again.

Good morning everybody!

9:56 Madis brought a large fish, and Piret fed the chicks in the pouring rain.
Mostly the biggest one got food, and the little one didn't get at all.

Feeding now, all the chicks get their bites of fish.

11.38 UK. Madi arrives with large headless fish, Piret now feeding. No 3 has had a good meal as No1 sat on no2 which allowed no 3 to have a better advantage. I dont think any of the chicks were very hungry.
Mum covering chicks again and all is peaceful.

This was such a pity for the youngest. Finally it knew what to do: pushing your way to the front,
and keeping your little beak open while screaming all the time.
When he was there the fish was finished!





But he already was given 3 bites even before the other 2 were finished.

20:00 Madis brings a fish (a smallish one) and everyone springs to action,. Piret chirps, jumps up and starts feeding. The chicks beg for food and Piret feeds them. Madis soon takes off.











20:03 Uno and #2 were fed, #3 begged but did not get anything - and then Piret swallowed the big tail piece herself

Bad! , 2nd time the youngest one misses out on a feeding. Madis brought a rather small fish and it was finished in no time.

Edit: it seems rather exhausted, I hope Piret will pay attention to it

22:08 ENORMOUS fish here and Piret is going to feed,I hope.
Uno and 2 are heads up but No 3 is squished for now.
There you go,No 3 has emerged and holding beak up for food.Nope,down again.
C'mon little one,its now or never. This is probably the last feed for the day.
