:2thumbsup: Wonderful pictures and videos from everyone - thank you!

Jopie, I took dozens of screencaps last night, but I keep falling asleep at that hour so I had to select only a couple - but the new ones that you and b.h-p and others have posted are even better!

19:43 Right now, the chick is under the brooding parent (??Piret) but I can still hear her voice :bounce:

Piret is moulting!

Piret away, Madis grabs his chance to feed the chick? I sure hope to see that.

Edit: strange bird  took little nibbles as IF he wanted to feed, waited too long and Piret was back again. She did not object nor grabbed the food :puzzled:

Madis left, but returned in a few minutes with the fish. Chick got lots of nice bites (and Piret got some too!)

Madis brings nice, large fish. Feeding starts, with Madis close.

Edit: Madis towards cam, little one wants to eat, opens its little beak wide and peeps.

Piret making little encouraging sounds to tempt the little one to eat some more, but it seems it has had enough. Sweet!

Edit: after several attempts, Piret "hides" the rest of the fish between the branches at the back right of the nest and lies down over the eggs and chick again.

Bye now

Back for a sec, the fish is in front of Piret (maybe it never was in the branches, I really don't know :whistling: )She went several times around the nestbowl with the fish trying to persuade the little one to eat some more and maybe dropped it after the last attempt?

Just logged in at 20.10 UK time and saw Madis arrive with good sized headless fish. Piret quickly grabbed it and started to eat some on the nest, she seemed very hungry. She then fed little un and has definitly got the hang of it ,as fed a few bites and then little un fell over and stayed down. Piret has left fish at hand for when babe wakes. SOoo impressed with Piret and Madis, they are going to be kept busy as another little (bobble head) should soon arrive.

So cute how the little one already opens his/her little beak in anticipation :loveshower:

Good to see feeding is working slowly out! Madis still seems to have his problems to understand what is happening there, in the afternoon I saw him bringing a fish, eating himself and when Piret arrived, he left with the fish. But they are cute in their shared wonder about this little thing that suddenly appeared in their nest! They must be first timers!
