I had heard Piret "talking" for a longer time at that time, and had then time for a look. And made a note that Piret was looking up, then noise from upstairs as if Madis flew from there, as well as Piret also was looking as if she looked after him, and she became then silent afterwards. (...)
Hi b.h-p :hi:

I do understand very well. Seeing a bird from behind is tricky to decide from, because wingshape isn´t to see. But in some different lightening tails of Ospreys can look very bright. So I notice the dark band at the end of tail.
To me the tail at the upper photo is too much cut staight over at the end to be a WTE and at no 2 photo it seems far to long for a WTE and is shaped like a fan, compared to this the end of a WTE tail is shaped more like a V. So I think - nevertheless also without being 100% sure, because of the angel and deciding from photos can be difficult - that it is Madis. leaving from upstairs

July 3

Since first light, Piret has been in the same spot, facing to the right (in our view) and with the chicks staying warm under her breast (sometimes they peek out)

4:22 Piret flies off and everyone wakes up. I think #3 is either moving food from his crop or more probably trying to cast a pellet. (?)

Image

4:38 Piret returns

4:39 Madis delivers a whole, live fish.

All 3 get fed, and Piret takes a bite also.

4:49 #2 might be done, but not #3

4:50 maybe #3 is done eating?

5:00 Feeding ends, Piret flies off

5:18 Madis lands on cam, then on nest, and eats leftovers

Image

5:30 Madis finishes eating and flies off. The chicks have been in a big puddle huddle the whole time.

9.45 - 9.59 I saw feeding - all 3 chicks got their share
according to Punto Madis was in nest 9.29 an right after Piret was feeding, so it was the second half of the feeding that was going on

Salmon!? And Daddy is the best, he fed the small one first,- the other two thought they couldn't believe their eyes (at least that's what it looked like... :D )

What a whopper, Cant believe the size of the fish that Madis catches. He must be very skilled as these are heavy fish to pluck from the water and then carry back.
What a star. All have had a huge meal and there is plenty over. All chicks have turned away but Piret is coaxing them to "Just one more". Now she has given up and is eating herself.
