over the past few hours each of the babies has pretty much eaten a whole fish each, not small fish either!

Millie wrote:I was so pleased to read that Piret had brought a fish to the nest today, which made me think that she is now back on track and will fish for herself and also help Madis in providing for the young, that in( my experience )is how it is a this stage.
Then I read that she stole a fish from Nori that Madis had delivered, so now I am back to square one.
I have just seen a delivery to Nori, but was unable to identify due to all the flapping but think it was Madis. Piret has spent more time on the nest today, but does appear nervous. As I write Elo is back on the nest and wanting Nori's fish, she is not for sharing and only has the tail left. Elo had a fish a short time ago.
Thank you to all for the fab pics. Love the one with siblings fighting over the fish.
Many thanks. Now all three on the nest (What a racket)
PIRET would never STEAL a fish from NORI -
she is all time upstairs and is teaching the chicks social behavior
you can hear her yelling from upstairs
and telling the chicks whos turn it ist with each delivered fish
I can't believe, what you are thinking about birds

Madis brought a fish. Piret jumped into the nest and took the fish and left. Chicks were watching and yelling.

S8 was the loudest, had a big mouth back, and he even pecked at Piret when she came down to tell him off....meierlein wrote:
