Well,Madis brought a part-fish but he's eating it himself. Piret is protesting loudly.

20;21 Madis has eaten all of that fish,now he's eating the 'reserve' fish.
He's even going all around the nest picking up the forgotten pieces.
Piret is NOT HAPPY.
20:24 Madis flew away.

19:33 Piret didn't let Madis eat the fish, and fed the chick well.

@ Nancy: Madis arrived at 20:10 as you said, but without fish (see picture) - he fooled me with this trick earlier (19:31)! He lands very fast, snatches the fish and leaves the nest...

Madis arrives with a piece of bark. Doesn't he understand or doesn't he want to understand?

Edit: Piret wants fish, obvious.

He flew away, calling.

21:08 Piret brooding,calling. Madis flew in. Did he bring any fish ? Didn't see.After two mins he left.
Piret protested all the while he was here.

I have to go for a while..I'll be listening.

Unless I´m mistaken, he changed a stick (which he brought) into a fish from the nest earlier this day. Maybe he thought it woud work again? And he fooled Nancy and me twice today - we thought at two different occasions he brought a fish, but he just snatched one from the nest . I think it was Millie who has mentioned they would do things like this...

When I saw that I thought he brought a fish and took it away again. He did it twice. Fooled me too so

I think he´s self adjusting. Everything seems to be fine.

But NOW he brings one, good sized fish, difficult to get it loose, but Piret has it.

Edit: and she starts preparing the fish to be fed.

I guess they really have to still learn a lot, Madis just came with a fish and they played tug.of-war over the eggs and the little one Stepping on everything ...
But now dinner!

You´re right, this time he brought it, without any doubt. Again a complete fish with head. And it seemed indeed difficult for him to loose the grip. (Or he just don´t wanted to, who knows )
